Last friday in the garden

It was a clear, sunny morning, not a cloud in the sky, when I got to my grounds keeping job.  The beds were full and blooming:

The begonias have gotten big:

The lantana around the fountain are doing very well:

The back path has grown in.  What a difference from when I took pics of it in april:

The little ducks in the pool were floating around:

Only some light, thin clouds came into the sky for a short time, before it cleared up again:

More begonia pics (my pics are dark. grrrr) :

Hostas were blooming, too:

The birdbath beds are blooming with geraniums:

More begonia pics:

The potted tree by the pool had a bloom:

Along the path at the front of the garden there are the leafy plants growing.  I like the red leaf plants.  I tried to get some pics of them, but my arms were shaking:

And there's a hydrangea blooming there, too:

By the afternoon more sun was shining in the garden:

And I took some pics of the pool before I left:

It was another good summer day in the garden.  I am glad I have that job.  I am glad he hired me and had me back this year.

200 views, antique Victorian perfume bottle, vintage boxer dog bookends,

Here at about 9:30 I have reached 200 views from Etsy search.  Still lower than what I had been reaching most of the summer.  But better than yesterday.  2 sales today of 3 tea cups.

I got pics taken of new tea cups and other things and got some of them listed.

Like this great Victorian perfume bottle.  I got a pair of them on Ebay:

And the boxer dog bookends I found at a garage sale.  I was surprised they are in such good condition:

I have taken alot of pics of things the past 2 weeks, but haven't posted here.  I need to get caught up and post my pics.

Views at noon

Only 78 views from Etsy search just after 12 noon. 46 favorites and 252 total views.

WOW! Less than 200 views!

Holy heck!  I can't believe it! I ended yesterday with only 180 views from Etsy search!!!  The first time under 200 since the fall or winter of 2011!

That is a bad sign.

Only 608 total views!!!

77 views from Google.

Something might have changed with Etsy.  Maybe they affected my shop because of my forum posts?

Oh well. Can't do anything about it.  Just have to deal with whatever happens.

wow, very low views again!

This is bad.  Only 130 views from etsy search here after 7 pm.  Something is up!  Something has changed!

Starting off today with low views

The City of Pittsburgh skyline; Yarn Bombing the Andy Warhol Bridge

One of my favorite views of the Pittsburgh skyline is right across from PNC Park.  At the end of the office building there is an opening at the end of the 6th St bridge.  It has a path down to the river.

It was a sunny evening with not a cloud in the sky.  So I thought it was a great opportunity to take pics of the view.  I knew the bridge and buildings would be lit up.

Right at the end of the building,  you would be walking on the bottom of Federal St when, boom, you get to the end of the building and see the 7th street bridge and the buildings behind it:

I walked over to the top of the path that goes down to the river and took some pics.  As I was standing there a lady came behind me with 2 small children.  I heard the little girl say, "This has a nice view, mommy.".  That was cute. lol.

Hanging on the 7th Street bridge are handmade quilts.  They are a project to provide quilts to the homeless.  My friend, Miss Becky, who is very active in the community, has one hanging:

I walked down to the bottom of the path and took some more pics:

I wanted to walk down along the river and take pics of the fountain at Point State Park lit up with the sun, but my battery died.

So I just rode my bike up to the convenience store, bought a bottle of water and headed home.

wow, low views yesterday

I ended yesterday with only 224 views from Etsy search!  I've said it a few times before, but THAT is the lowest since, I don't know when.  Maybe last may or june???

On monday I had 341 views from Etsy search.

Yesterday was only 821 total views and 75 from Google search.

1 small sale of a book, too.

If I didn't sell tea cups......I would probably stop selling on Etsy.  It wouldn't be worth it.  My views would be in the 100's.  And making a few sales a week.  I probably would have stopped a long time ago.  And kept working.   While other people get to have antique shops. Oh well.

I can see that my views have actually gone DOWN in the past year or two.  I get so many more views because of all the tea cups, but if it weren't for them, my views would be LOWER.  Because of the competition.   There are many more vintage sellers on Etsy now.  Than 2 years ago even.

2 years ago I made it over 200 views from Etsy search for the first time.  Now, with hundreds more listings and the highly popular tea cups, to only get 224 is not good at all.

I am wondering what the next 4 months hold.....the holiday season......
